Get a new website and save on tax

How can you get a new small business website for less?

One of the hidden gems of the recent Federal Budget 2022 announcement allows small businesses to get a new website developed for their business and claim the entire cost, plus 20 per cent, on tax.

The new budget measure is designed to help small businesses invest in new digital technologies.

In his budget speech, Treasurer Josh Frydenberg said, “From tonight, every hundred dollars these small businesses spend on digital technologies like cloud computing, e-invoicing, cybersecurity and web design will see them get a $120 tax deduction.”

There are no catches. It applies to any business with a yearly turnover of less than $50 million and there's an annual cap of $100,000. It's estimated that around 3.6 million businesses can take advantage.
